Gebbie and Wilson

The offices of Gebbie and Wilson, Common Green, Strathaven - William Gebbie (Lawyer) drew up the 'power of attorney' in the 1830's for the then Brownlee owner of Torfoot, which enabled him to sell Torfoot while he was in the USA. One of William Gebbie's daughter married into the Torfoot families and went to the USA.
